International Software Development (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd., (ISD), was established as an equity joint venture of IBM China Corporation, Shenzhen University and the Bank of East Asia in 1991. The company is the first software development company invested by IBM in mainland China. ISD is located in Shenzhen Hi-Tech Industrial Estate, and is equipped with advanced computer systems, software development tools and communication/network facilities. ISD has a highly qualified team of technical skills and industry experiences.

ISD has over 10 years of development and project management experience in providing application software and system software for customers in major industries. These know-how form the basis of our industry solutions for Banking, Manufacturing, Retail / Distribution and other industries. Further more, ISD has developed its own registered products - "Sixun" series.

Finance / Banking
Our banking services include retail banking, trade finance, loans and credit card processing. We support traditional ATM and telephone banking, as well as Internet technology based transactions for the finance industry. We are one of the few leading companies in applying Data Warehouse, Data Mining and Decision Support technologies to the brokerage, insurance and banking industry. In addition, ISD has its own products Sixunsoft Image Indexing System for the China market.

Retail / Distribution
ISD's entry into the Retail/Distribution industry began in 1994 when working cooperatively with IBM. We completed the Retail/POS system for the largest retailer in the world, Walmart, in Shenzhen. This project gave us the know-how of advanced retail management and operation. ISD has since developed its own product, "Sixunsoft 2001 Jin-Xiao-Cun", targeted at small and medium retailers and distributors. Based on this product, ISD provides customized development, consulting and system integration services for large customers. ISD also provides development, localization and support services for foreign retailers/distributers entering into the China's market.

E-business Integration
ISD is skilled in e-business integration. Together with IBM BISC Shanghai, we have significant experience in e-banking and internet portal implementation. ISD's e-business integration services are tailor fitted to our customer's existing business processes and management information infrastructure. ISD is also one of the earliest domestic Lotus business partners and Notes applications developers. ISD has set up an internal paperless office Intranet system on Notes and has developed its own OA product using the same technologies to help our customers operate their business. Based on our experience in banking, a new middleware Equipment Control Service Platform (ECSP) using Java technology has been developed which can be ported on different operating systems. This unique solution based on the J/XFS standard makes it possible that applications won't be impacted when equipments change. It can also integrate with IBM's web banking product WSBCC.

ISD has many years of System Integration experience. We are skilled in integrating hardware, networking, software and application products into a cohesive, efficient and effective IT architecture and environment to support our customer's business processes and requirements.

Application Management Services (AMS)
ISD performs cost effective AMS services for IBM Hong Kong customers. Presently, we are working on several large projects supporting IBM customers in application maintenance, enhancement and development projects in the Banking and Telecom industry. ISD is capable of taking on these multi-year, multi-faceted, service level oriented projects because of our many years of time proven experience in IT management, AD methodology and IT processes.

National Language Support (NLS)
ISD has provided software localization service in cooperation with IBM since establishment in 1991. Using professional translation and testing tools and strict quality control methods, ISD is capable of providing NLS and MBCS service on various platforms like AS/400, OS/2, UNIX, AIX, Solaris, WIN 95/98/NT and VM/ESA.
